Review:  The first book I purchased when I began painting.  This is a concise, clear, and to the point, instruction book on restoring and reproducing Early American decoration.  It contains ready to use patterns for restoring trays, tin ware, boxes, chairs, walls, rockers, etc.  It has a beautiful step-by-step of Chippendale painting and typical laced-edge flowers, which is in color.  This book covers the very simple techniques to the more complete and advanced.
