Pansy is derived from the French word pensee, "thought" and remembrance. It is believed pansies were named that because the petals can resemble a face and they nod forward as though deep in thought. Receiving a bouquet of pansies from someone means "thinking of you". This packet will take you through the steps to paint your very own pansy using a wet on wet technique to create the shape and form of this mulitpetalled flower.
