Watercolor - Drybrush for Details
Instructor Neadeen Masters, CDA demonstrates a drybrush technique. There are many drybrush techniques. Learn to use two of them. One of them is used for creating fine details, the other to build broken color. These little fine strokes can be used as a single line or placed parallel to each other to create texture on the surface. The little strokes can be used in a cross hatching manner to add extra details and depth to an element. A damp brush is used in a manner similar to that of a pen to make the fine lines. A drybrush technique can also be used to create broken color, which reveals the color below and also creates texture on any surface. Drybrush techniques can be created with most brushes. |
